North Ayrshire Athletics Club

North Ayrshire Athletics club was formed in 2009 to coincide with the new all weather track as part of the new St Matthew’s academy K:A Campus at Jacks Road in Saltcoats. The track is situated in the playing fields between Ardrossan Academy and St Matthews and is the home of the club.

The club is a registered charity and is staffed and managed completely by volunteers. It is very much a community based club that works hard to cater for all aspects of the community and all disciplines of athletics.

NAAC is affiliated to Scottish Athletics, the sports national governing body and works closely with the local community trust K:A Leisure, North Ayrshire Council, Active Schools and the Jacks Road Community Sports Hub.

The club were awarded the Queens Award for Voluntary Service in her Birthday honours list in summer 2016 and has also won the North Ayrshire Sports Awards Team of the year, North Ayrshire Provost Civic Pride Sports Award and Scottish Athletics Impact Club of the year since then. The club are widely regarded as one of the most progressive and well run sports club in the country with success and awards coming on and off the track.
